Legislative Updates & Advocacy Opportunities

There are several websites that keep current in legislative updates regarding disability issues in Minnesota. Many also promote advocacy. If you know of one not listed, please let us know!

The Arc Minnesota  is a non-profit, statewide voluntary organization that promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities is a broad-based coalition of more than 100 organizations of persons with disabilities, providers and advocates, dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities. See Policy section.

Partners in Policymaking was created in May 1987 by the Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities. It’s purpose is to teach parents and self-advocates the power of advocacy and change the way people with disabilities are supported, viewed, taught, live and work.
